By early 2017, B-Quad had installed solar-powered wireless links, and VoIP systems in more than 40 offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico for PEMEX, and fully redundant on-shore Base stations. This communications infrastructure uses ALVARION Wireless WIMAX technology in the 3.3 GHz band to provide off-shore rigs with telemetry, telephone service and Internet connection for corporate an personnel use. Other Base Stations and links have also been installed to cover land-based Oilfields, in cooperation with our Mexican partners.

IN June 2017, B-Quad completed the installation of 2 fixed LTE networks in both in the Caribbean and South America, for fixed wireless ISPs. LTE technology gives these service providers a huge competitive edge over their competitors...

Starting in early 2019, our company was engaged by ROLEX Caribbean to deploy WIFI network in several Caribbean islands. The objective was to provide tourists in the commercial waterfront areas, and Cruise ship terminals, with Free-internet and a portal to the company’s site. The multi-AP networks were designed and commissioned by B-Quad with Cambium technology, and are now in successful operation in the Cayman Islands and Dominica, with other islands to follow.

In 2019, B-Quad helped the Telecom operator in the Falklands Islands, to start migrating their existing Alvarion WIMAX network to a newer LTE network by TELRAD. At least 3 Telrad LTE base stations were installed, along with subscriber equipment and a Network Management Platform During 2020, the migration is progressing seamlessly, with minimum effects to the paying customers.

In 2020 we worked with an ISP in Texas to install Baicells fixed access in the 2.5 GHz to serve the County school system. The objective was to facilitate students to take on-line classes.

In 2020 we designed and supplied a Wireless Network based on Cambium’s PMP450m Carrier-Class platform to operator Reddot Networks, for installation in Caracas Venezuela.

Over 20 sectors and 8 Point-to-point microwave links are being commissioned as part of the project. We continue to support this customer to bring fast internet access and added-value services to users in Venezuela during COVID lock-down.

During late 2020 and in 2021 B-quad designed and supplied a Mobile LTE network in the Dutch Caribbean Island of St. Eustatius. The network is based on Baicells 4G-5G wireless technology, and it operates in the 1800 MHz cellular band. It is expected to serve over 5000 subscribers.

Due to COVID19 travel restrictions, we were able to remotely work with the customer on a daily basis, to get the network successfully commissioned and tested.
